About the Department
Children’s University is committed for the development of every child right from the womb of the mother teen age. The aim of Children’s University is to promote academic excellence and provide opportunities for the holistic development. To fulfill this main aim the university has established Department of Education in the year 2016 by offering M.Phil and Ph.D. programs. The faculties appointed in the department have encouraged learner centric teaching, learning and research activities to shape up the department with their sincere efforts.
The department is practicing various learning centric tasks like workshops, seminars and field works, field visits as part of our curriculum. The department is experimenting new pedagogy like ICT based teaching, team teaching, blended learning, cooperative learning, project based learning etc. to stand with the current trends and innovations.
The motto of the department is to provide man-making education that can fulfill current needs of society and nation at large. Main focus of our curriculum is the holistic development of students. Thrust areas of our curriculum development are

- Blended mode of ancient and Modern trends
- Holistic development of a human from childhood to adulthood
- Integration of modern technology in curriculum transaction
- Wellbeing of Child
The department is always active in organizing co-curricular activities, celebrating national and cultural festivals and days and fostering engagement of its students for their participation in several local, regional and national level competitions to provide them opportunities for overall development according to their skills, interest and aptitude.
To enhance the research activities in the society, the department promotes students for Ph.D degree. The department encourages students to be engaged in research activities like seminar participation, research paper writing and its presentation, attempting JRF/NET and GSET examination from PG level.

About the Programs
M.A. Education
For the realization of the aim of the university, Department of Education has designed Two years master level program for the stakeholders who wish to serve the society by contributing the field of education.
The department encourages various persons to join the program who wish to get knowledge of educational principles especially in ECCE.
This two years master degree program aims to inculcate values derived in Indian thinking on education. The program is interwoven in such a way that the learner can develop theoretical understanding with practical experiences as well. The major thrust is on research related to child’s development and education. The unique features of the program like Indian philosophy, early childhood care and education, guidance and counseling make it special from others. The program shapes up the learners in such a way that he or she get expertise in the field of teacher education, ECCE and school counseling.

Department of Education offers PG programme (MA Education) of two years duration which is divided into four semesters & based on:
- Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)
- Specialization ECCE
Learner centric Approach
The mode of instruction in the program is interactive. Varied practicum like assignment, group discussion, seminar, field studies gives learners plenty opportunities for exploration and inquiry. Students have to undertake a research study on various problems related with child’s education, parenting, and child’s development from preschool to adulthood. This provides them in-depth understanding of the subject and help them to explore the horizons of research.
Ph.D. Education(Part time/Full time)
The research is very necessary for development of society and nation. The study in Ph.D. in education contributes by adding new knowledge. Its epistemological contribution is back bone of the nation’s whole system. Education is a key field for continuous progress. The program opens wide horizon of one’s area of interest. The department gives priority to researches with special reference to child’s development and education. The ultimate aim of the program is to create innovative educational practices which can unfold possibilities which can resolve present problems in the field of education.
P.G. Diploma in School Counseling
School life is very crucial for the development of students, especially for the designing career. The process of education is all about the realization of potential of child at fullest. For this purpose assessment of child’s interests, aptitude and attitude is very much necessary. The profession teacher can help a lot to students in this aspect. Teachers need to learn about psychological assessment and counseling. The teacher who is acquainting with guidance counseling can be real asset of the school.

Department of Education offers Post Graduate Diploma in School Counseling (PGDSC) of two semesters (One year) duration & based on:
- Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)
- Field based experience and practical mode of learning.
- Student and parent counseling with special reference to learning and holistic personality development.
- Synthesis of ancient Indian concepts with modern concept of guidance and counseling
The course becomes necessary for the profession development of in-service teachers and other aspirants teachers as well. The curriculum is designed with the modern concepts of guidance and counselling. The course helps teacher to develop new knowledge and skills for adding value to his/her routine teaching work.
Certificate Course in Pre-school Education
A child is the form of God. Education is the worship of God embodied in a child. Education is all about creating an environment for the unveiling of a child’s latent potentialities. Education is a way of inculcating Sanskars. Sanskar is a process of developing virtues in a child which calls for dissolving the vices first. The best time for the Sanskar process in life is up to 8 years from the birth; hence the best time for educating a child is also the same. Therefore the process of education during this phase of time must be molded accordingly.
National Education Policy 2020 has given special emphasis on early childhood care and education. Along with that a matter of providing education from three to eight years has been given prime importance. In the Right to Education Act, 2009 a greater emphasis was laid on primary education.

Department of Education offers Certificate programme (CCPSE) of six months duration which is divided into one semester & based on:
- Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)
- An activity-based curriculum deeply rooted in Indian culture for Pre-schoolers.
- Based on the principle of Punchkosh
- Oriented for development from Vyasti to Parmeshthi.
The course becomes necessary for the training of teachers who can run the academic program in proper manner. The curriculum is designed with the modern concepts to produce excellent teachers who can nourish Indian culture. The timely changes as needed will be incorporated.
